I wish to express my sincere condolences to a family in our neighborhood. The live right down the street from us and I have never met met. They lost their son this afternoon. A 18 year old, who had plans to go to HCC for his first year in college, a beautiful girlfriend. and of course, family and friends. I don't have to know him or even have met him to know the grief that the family and girlfriend are feeling. That is the thing about grief. It crosses all boundaries, all socio-economic levels, all religions. It spares no one when the time comes.
I will say my prayers tonight. I will include this unknown family in them. I will include my family in them. It seems like this month is full of death, whether it is someone famous or young. Death has a habit of putting life inperspective.
