Newsy News

Not much of anything happening around here yet everything is happening so I am way behind on writing, way, way behind on working on my 2YN novel. Even way behind on washing laundry. However, I have a new camera, a Canon Rebel XSI, and have taken a few pictures with it.

Got a letter from the high school in Saturday's mail. Seems out last child at home is in danger of not graduating the first of June. Not doing well in French. Everyone will kill her if she doesn't graduate (aunts, uncles, sister in Colorado, etc.)

Middle child had a serious car wreck and somehow that has translated into a problem for us and she doesn't even live with us but with her in-laws. We furnished the first car but not a second one. The wreck was her fault but it was a case of not noticing a approaching car.

My husband is the last one at work. Yea, he is the only one left except for a secretary who has not been there in about three months now. She went to a friend's kid birthday party at a roller rink. Fell and broke her leg in two places. Wow, that is something that would happen to me, as accident prone as I am. I don't think the secretary will be back for another two weeks. Not sure what she will do as she is not my husbands' secretary and her boss got moved.

My email is driving me crazy. I can get email, just can't send. Went to the computer store today and they thought they had fixed it. Got home and no cigar. Still can't send.

Lamenting a loss

I love my camera. I loved getting out and taking pictures of my grandson, nature, wildflowers, the moon. I have lost my camera. My whole family has torn the house upside down looking for my camera, Olympus E500, and firehouse red camera bag. Now after 3 weeks, I know it is gone. Where did I loose it? Don't have an answer for that. If it had been stolen, would not the home robber take the tv's, the computers, the laptop? Why just the camera and its bag? Makes you think that it is somewhere here in the house, in the bedroom where I kept it. But no I say! It is not anywhere.

I loved my camera. A huge loss in my daily life!
Atlas, you say, get another one. Well, guess what. Olympus has moved on. The E500 is no longer available unless a camera store still has one gathering dust on its shelves.

Is your librarian going to prison?

Here is the update on the job situation.

Am I going to prison as the prison librarian? Sadly, I got a rejection letter. So I won't be going to prison, at least not yet. Maybe another position will open up in another unit. If so I will try for that position. Of course I will also try the school districts for next school year. Being Texas certified for all grade levels gives me the opportunity to look all over the state.

I took more pictures of Buddy and his friend Dozier playing in the back field. This morning I had just about dozed off in my easy chair when this huge bark came throu the back door. Buddy had also began napping on the couch. It scared him that he completely jumped off the couch like a fire cracker had gone off. Opened the door, Buddy growling and off they went to the back easement. I didn't see them for pert near 20 minutes.

I have the grandson. He is spending the night. He first tooth came in yesterday. I would like to take a blanket out to the easement tomorrow morning and let the baby watch the dogs play. Maybe even, grandmonny will show Jason how to take a pic.
