Sights to See

Don't rightly know if I want to try Buffalo Butt Beer. I would like to pet the duck. Can't tell you if I have ever seen an old limo before but it sure looks neat. Of course the zebra cow. Where else but the Ft. Worth Stockyards.

Back at the Old Grind

I like this pic of Aflac with his webbed foot in the air fixing to take a step towards me. There are other pictures of the Bear Creek Park Aflac which looks like he is strutting or parading around me. Of course, he is disappointed in the fact that I had no food with which to throw.

Husband had off today and he has spent part of the day being mad or rather upset with me. We went to two businesses (tractor supply place and Wally World) and he complained that we were spending all day out. Two hours does not make a day. He did work on the van putting on a air filter and probably some other stuff as well. He unloaded the Wally World food that we purchased and went to snooze on the couch.

I purchased a cedar bird feeder. I hope to get it up in the tree by the bedroom window. I think I would love to see what birds (other than the doves, black birds, sparrows and the mocking bird) would come to eat. I would also love to capture some of the birds with my camera.

Aflac the duck at the park

Aflac looking for a handout or a bug that is floating across the water.

I stopped by the park today and saw that the water was beginning to recede. At least the water on the road into the park was driveable for a good ways in. I didn't see the ducks, probably swimming in other areas that were still flooded.

Aflac's feet

When I was a kid, I loved splashing in the water of a flooded street. In my home town, we did not have drains, just ditches between our houses. I loved getting out after a rain and splashing around the yard and ditch. Back then, it was safe to splash around.

I get the joy that ducks must have when they splash around. At least I like to think that ducks have joy when they splash around. Well, wishful thinking as that may be, I think Aflac enjoyed strutting around in the water at the park on Mother's Day. It sure seemed like it.

2 ducks - Aflac and Bflac

Went by the park on Mother's Day to see if the animals had come back after the April flooding we had experienced. Just three ducks had settled back in as the street into the park and the park itself was still knee high or deeper. The two in the picture were right friendly and came by to see if we had any food for them. I named the first one after the Aflac tv duck and Bflac cause I couldn't think of anything else. I have more pictures to share with the readers of my blog as this week progresses. There is a third duck, so I naturally named him Cflac but he is quite shy. Aflac was the one who would get up close and personal with you although he would not let you reach out to pet him. Still I got some real good close ups.
