New job

It's the little things that count. I mean, really little things. My new job is 24 hours of doing really little things but oh so important!

My new job is as a caretaker for two older adults that are in not so good health. So all the little things I do for them are so greatly appreciated. Little things like warming a heating pillow up in the microwave, or bring them a snack, or washing bed sheets that have been peed on my accident. Little things like looking in on them to see if they want anything or need me to do something brings showers of thanks.

Besides, these are two wonderful people who live their lives within their bedroom day in and day out and love my cooking. What more could I ask for? Appreciation by the bucket.

Sad holidays of a sort

Thanksgiving will soon be upon us. It is just around the corner if you haven't been paying attention. I am sure we all have many things to be thankful for..good health or better health than what we had been having. food in our mouths no matter who cooked it or burnt it, etc. You follow my drift. For me, it will be spent in longing like a homesick kid at camp.

Jason and his mom took off from where we knew they were staying. So much for knowing for a short time that they were safe. Don't have a clue and she has not contacted me since last Thursday. I miss the little bugger. His brownish green eyes, his oh so sweet smile. The baby sounds he makes.

I am thankful that my parents loved each other. I am thankful that they loved me. I am thankful that they seldom bicker. I am thankful that I always knew where they were, even when I didn't want to know. Thank you mom and dad.
