Is your librarian going to prison?

That sure is a hook to get you to read my blog. But the statement is rather misleading, yet has the possibly to come true. Yours truly interviewed Friday for a librarian's position in a prison unit. As I began to investigate this interesting topic, I found that there is more to the subject that you would think. Not every prison has a library. I called around. I was even laughed at by some office person at a prison. Glad I gave them a good laugh on a Monday, no less. They must have needed a laugh today.

I don't know if I will get the job or not. I hope I do. I think there is so much I could do with literature with the patron inmates. Life would certainly not be dull. Of course, if you know my family, I would like to have dull days but not too many.
