Wed - had a car wreck near the downtown exit. Woman who is a alien (not Hispanic) makes a illegal left turn, crosses two lanes of traffic and hits us. We call the police. Found out she has no car insurance and she drove a better, newer car than what we were driving! Wed night, the wrecked car was vandalized on the non-wrecked side. Sheriff dept comes out. Officer Boilling (not real sure I spelled his name correctly) comes out and asked me what I wanted the dept to do. Looked him right in the eye and said, "Take a report." Go look for the person who did this. Gee, I can think of a few more things a police officer is suppose to do.
Three hours later, we have to call the Sheriff's office again. Yep! That person came back to do more damage. The only item taken was the proof of insurance card and a point and shoot camera. (I had taken photos of the car license plate) I suppose that they thought that was the camera. Did not bother the GPS, or the fancy stereo and its super speakers in the trunk.
Thursday. Yep, you guessed it. The guy comes back again. Only this time we surprise him and belted him with some pellets from a pellet gun. We thought it was over. That we had scared him and he had made his point. But it wasn't over yet!!!Oh no.
He came back with 4 buddies and beat up the 23 year old who lives with us. Sheriff's dept came out again. Officer Bolling again! "Why didn't you call us? We could have been here in 15 minutes." Yea, right. The whole thing was over in less than 10 minutes. Can all this really be over the car wreck? Where would we be now if it had been our fault instead of hers? I shudder to think.
