Attended a meeting tonight with the community association. I had requested that the security committee be there but they were not present. Three Harris County Sheriff deputies were. Sargent Glover was there and I was very happy to see her. She has patrolled our subdivision for 10 years now. Even if you are the police, I feel that the position of trust has to be earned. I did learn that our home should have been on 'temporary watch". Seems that my least favorite officer should have already placed our home in that mode. Sargent Glover said that she will take care of it and it seems that she has. I have seen the Sheriff/Constables come by twice.
The local gang and the drug dealer
We now know who the evil guys are that worked on Whitney's car and Whit's boyfriend. They are long time friends of our ex-son in-law. The local drug dealer (if you don't stick your head in the sand you know who they are in your neighborhood) told us tonight that he was selling drugs to these 4 guys (2 white brothers and 2 Hispanic men, relationship unknown)over in a trailer park in Katy. Clifton lived there for several years. Anytime you mention "trailer park in Katy" everyone nods their heads. The guys were laughing and bragging about the damage they caused to Whitney's car. They discussed a few details of what is next. Seems that they have 'orders" from Clifton (they used his street name) to kidnap, beat and rape Whit. I told Officer Glover but nothing can be done as there is really no information about when this "next" thing is suppose to happen and the fact that we are hearing it from a drug dealer. We did not mention his name but the officers knew. Even knew that he was homeless for the most part and rode a bicycle around.
Getting out of hand
I don't really understand the whys of all this type of behavior. Clifton basically received what he demanded. Custody of the baby, the food stamp card, the Medicaid card for Jason, supervised visitation, child support, etc. Whit is limited in to 8 1/2 hours one week and 56 hours the next week. Thursday from 8am to 5pm each Thursday and the 1st, 3rd weekends of the month. You would think she was the criminal. FYI: Clifton is currently serving probation in Harris County for Assault and Battery and probation in Brazoria County for Grand Theft. A little boy needs his mom more than those few hours a week. Whitney can call to say goodnight but Clifton always has an excuse why she can not talk to her baby.
Other divorce parents
I know that some divorced parents do not see their children. I have met some who willingly talk about their ordeals. I hear the anger, frustration in their voices. After a time, they quit seeing their children because that is the easier way out. I often hear, "I never see my children. Their mother always has them away from home, or their already asleep. In our case, we hear, " He is not here. He is a Wal-Mart (or the dollar store) with my mother. I especially like the one where Cliff tells me that Jason is in the bathtub (I hope Martha is with him) and yet you can hear him playing and it is not sounds of playing in the tub.
More later.
