Flat out Friday

Yawn! Yawn! Gosh, I am getting too old for days like today. Baby Jason had to be taken to the ER. He wasn't eating and running a fever. Of course by the time you sit there for 4 to 6 hours, the Tylenol has taken effect and he is ready to play so that he doesn't have to go to sleep. I jetted out of the ER at 11:30 so that three of us (not baby's momma and boyfriend, left at hospital) to see Twlight, the movie about the vampires. I had read the book and was very impressed. Theatre was packed with young teens and older teens. I had forgotten how they like to scream. I once remembered the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show on a Sunday night. They came on stage and I screams and rolled on my back, kicking my heals up in the air. It so unnerved my dad, that he made me go to bed and I missed seeing them, well, sorta. I managed to inch my way to the corner wall of the living room and peaked my head around so that I could watch them. Since my parents were not dumb, I now know (as a smart parent) that they knew that I was there.

Anyway, the theatre management open screen 20 for us older teens to see the movie in relative peace. If I had not read the book, I would have found the movie really good. But, I knew all the things that were left out. I did discover two mistakes. The vampire who tracked Bella to Arizona and make her come to the ballet studio, in the movie he bit her on the wrist. In the book, he bit her on the finger. The other mistake was the female killer vampire whose boyfriend Edward and his family killed at the ballet studio, was at the prom. In the book, She was not at the prom.

Still, it was very well made, the photography was great, scenery was beautiful. I think I will go back and read book 1.
