Holly Beach, LouisianaI love Holly Beach. My husband and I often drove down on a Saturday and swam in the Gulf of Mexico, watched shrimping boats hull and threw sand at each other. Through the years, the little community grew with beach cabins and weekend homes. Then came Rita. The beach is once again like it was when we were teenagers.
Life comes full circle. Holly Beach will recover, people will come back, shrimping boats will return. It always has come back after a disaster and it will again.
