My Children's Author's List

My mother use to say, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." For the most part, she was right. I have been pleasantly surprised at times. I have also been down right disappointed. Ever have a friend who raves about a book or movie and you spend time trying to get into the story but it was the worst of anything you have ever come across? Lots of good actors and actresses have made movies you wondered why they chose to make that movie it was so bad.

Here is what I have learned through 30 years of adulthood. You can tell about a person by noticing what is on their bookshelves. Or the lack of bookshelves. I've read more than what I can post, especially being a former children's librarian for the last 13 years. If you want to see what I own, check out LibraryThing.Com. I have a site there that lists about half of what I own. One resolution for this year is to complete getting my books on the site. Here is just a few of the children's authors I adore. List is not inclusive. I am not a science fiction fan so you will notice a few missing favorite authors.
