Is the graduation exercise really for the graduate or is really for the parents who have sacrificed, scrimped financially so that their child can go to college and hurrah for us for we finally see the end of the tunnel of financial difficulty.
We attended the graduation exercise this past weekend for our best friend's daughter. We wanted to go. We didn't feel first hand the trials and tribulations that her mother went through, 4 years of college and upteen years more to become a Physician Assistant but in a way, we secondly handly went through the yea and ney's of the extra years of school. We rejoiced with yeas when each semester ended with a 4.0 average, whispered prayers as she traveled through out Texas for various rotations for her safety and wiped tears on the backs of our hands as her relationship with long time boyfriend headed down the tubes. So now, we party. Our hearts are filled with gladness as we have an insight as to what awaits us as our youngest daughter finished high school next week. Another graduation exercise to sit through, another dark tunnel to traverse through in college. But we know that there is light at the end of that tunnel.
Thanks Kylie, for making it thru pa school with honors. Thanks for the memories. Thanks for showing us that it is all worth it. Good luck in life, good luck in your personal travels.
