Millie Bush Dog Park

The dog park parking lot was nearly full by the time we got there. We went around 5 pm which was really a perfect time as far as the weather and heat are concerned. As normal, all kinds of dogs were there. I didn't see any Great Danes but saw some dogs that were bigger in body and probably the same height. One was a Bull Mastiff.

He came out of the pool's water in slow motion. I could hear the theme song to Chariots of Fire. Water pouring off him in streams. I stood amazed as this huge dog came out of the water. I couldn't move, could only stare. Out of the pool now, he dropped the ball. His body began to shake the water off. Everyone that was close to him, well, let's say they had to go home and shower the doggie smell off of them.

It took Buddy awhile to get into the water. He was barking at some person to throw the ball into the pool of water and he would go in but not get the ball. Finally he do go in and that was all he wanted to do.

Kobe, on the other hand, being his first time at a dog park, was so excited he could not make up his mind what he wanted to do first. Thoughts ranged in his head...Do I run here with this dog or run there with that dog?...What's this water thing about?....Can I pee here..oops. Sorry, I didn't make it to the grass...What's this smell... Oh, it's poo. Who's poo is it?

I think it was one of the best days of his life. Just wasn't thrilled with the cold water bath afterwards.
