If you were here today

If you were here today I would have you out in the swing. The sun is warm, a light breeze is blowing, just perfect weather to be outside.

We could have a picnic. I would spread a blanket on the ground and we would have juice, crackers, cheese and fruit. We would play with your little cars, crawl around in leaves that are on the ground. Maybe even discover a bug or two. We would have fun.

The electric company came the other day and cut down the trees in the back yard. They cut down the trees in all the backyards. We would have watched them cut the trees down from a safe distance.

Dozier the yellow lab doesn't come around anymore for his morning handout. His owners gave him away. Dozier was a gypsy kind of dog. Nomadic. So we can not watch Buddy and Dozier play anymore. That's kinda good as you and I would get run over if we got in their way. Sometimes you were funny as you would get out of their way if you could, leaving me to fend for myself.

It is almost lunch time. I don't feel hungry. I just wish you were here.
Love, Grandmommy

Kobe

Well, the daughter went off to San Antonio to look at a few colleges over there. Instead she brought him home.

Mom, he is going to be a small dog. He is a beagle mix. Does he look small to you in this picture? He is now about 10 months old. The neighbor said tonight that every time she sees him. he has grown a foot taller. "Have you ever measured him from the ground up" she asked.

I don't think he is a beagle either. The white area of his coat is black spots. He has lots of loose skin so I am wondering how big is he actually going to get.

That was suppose to be the baby grandson's pool. As you can see, Kobe has taken it over. He adores it. Guess we will have to get the grandson another pool next year. Knowing Kobe, he'll take over that one too.

Buddy's family

The eleven month old grandson is back living with us. At first I grumbled alot and I do mean ALOT about having him here but blessings can come in disguised smaller packages. He pulls my hair as he tries to stand up. He hits me with his little fist and lays his head on me. The adults all say, "Look everyone, he is loving on the dog. Isn't that cute?" UGH!

As I was saying, blessing do come. This kid has some really good stuff fall off his high chair. I don't even have to wait long at all. The kid, Jason, throws things off his tray without even looking at it. But I think he is weird. Sometimes he throws food off his tray and then he leans over to look at it. Well, what do you expect me to do, put it back on his tray? Hell no!! I'm gonna gobble it faster that anybody says "No, Buddy. That's the baby's." I am a dog, afterall.
